Time with those you love is precious!
At the conclusion of our 2019 Family Reunion closeout meeting, which is open to all family, it was proposed that we return to yearly reunions. Two years later, this motion was formally put to a vote at the 2022 Family Reunion opening meeting. An invite to this meeting was posted on social media platforms, and outreach was also made via text and calls to at least one member in each family.
We wanted to ensure that everyone had a voice in voting on the following:
· Yearly Caldwell Reunions
· Which month do you prefer the reunion to be held?
· What committee do you want to work on?
· T-shirt Color
· Dues- In state, and introducing out of state dues
· Do you plan on attending?
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was voted to return the Caldwell Reunion to a yearly event. The pandemic proved to us that life is not guaranteed, spending time with those you love is not guaranteed, we lost several family members who were faithful family reunion attendees.
We are excited to go back to honoring this promise that was made to Mama Donia, our family matriarch, and we look forward to seeing all family every year.
